one sugar one cream, please!

so I finally went into the hospital for a medical issue: a septic elbow bursitis that was infected and I had a fever too.. I've been out of the hospital for about 4 weeks now and I would have to say I am still worried about the area feeling like its not healing properly. i have been on 3 weeks of antibiotics and my last dose was in the middle of week 3 .

I am now on week 4 and there is still some fluid and swollen area to deal with. I am going to give it 6 weeks and then assess the situation and then if need to be I will go see a specialist !

What is Elbow Bursitis?

olecranon bursitis in the elbow

The olecranon bursa (just below the skin) is exposed to trauma or injury during falls on the elbow and to infection from scrapes or cuts on the skin covering the joint.

Repeated excessive pressure and/or friction, such as leaning on a table top at work, may cause this bursa to become inflamed producing excessive swelling and elbow pain in this area.

If the bursitis in your olecranon bursa is septic, it can quickly become life-threatening and you will require antibiotics from your doctor to treat the infection

due to the fact that I am holding up my upper body with my elbows when on the computer probably caused this! and for most of the day I am on the computer desk weighing on my elbows.  I think I used some infected bacteria ridden perfume that I had for 25 years or more when I was in high school. the day after I used the perfume I became septic.. it was black opium perfume that I used. I am afraid to touch it and throw it away the perfume bottle of course … I need gloves for it !
